POLICY ON NIGHT DEPOSITS

The nightly deposit drop box, located on the right corning of Hood CAD’s building, is provide as a convenience to taxpayers that arrive to make payments afterhours. The box is emptied daily.

All payments deposited in the night drop need to be in the form of a check or money order. All payments that are deposited in the drop box by midnight are posted the next business day using the previous business posting date along with the previous days penalty and interest if applicable. Payments made after midnight will be posted the next business day and may be subject to the applicable penalty and interest.

If the last day of a month falls on a weekend or holiday, the taxpayer will be allowed to pay their taxes on the next business day without the next month’s penalty or interest.
