All credit card transactions are processed through an outside third party vendor. Hood CAD does not store credit card numbers within it software systems.
Notice: A non-refundable convenience fee will be charged for the use of credit or debit cards to pay property taxes. If you elect to pay using a credit/debit card or electronic check, you may need to alert your bank of the pending transaction. Sometimes, large property tax payments may be questioned by your bank and not processed as you expect.
If you pay in person using a credit or debit card, Hood CAD will process these payments through the third party vendor’s software and provide you a confirmation receipt of the payment.
It may take up to 3 to 5 days for the funds to be deposited with Hood CAD. Your property tax payments will be posted to your account as of the date funds are received through the credit/debit card companies.
The following is the fee schedule for the use of credit or debit cards.

Common problems with entering data on the website
- When entering amount to be paid. Do not include a $ sign or commas (Example: Amount would be entered as 1000.00 not $1,000.00)
- Credit Card # should be entered without spaces (Example: should be entered as 1234567800123456 not 1234 5678 0012 3456)
- The property owner’s address needs to be the address associated with the credit card. PO Boxes are not accepted.
- Any additional problems or questions can be referred to “e NETPAY” @ 956-682-3466
- Credit card payments are only allowed through the website or in person at Hood Central Appraisal District. Fees are the same at either location. No payments are accepted over the phone.
